GRAND FINALE OF THE GRIFFON VULTURE NAME SELECTION – CAST YOUR VOTE!

After nearly two months of incubation, a griffon vulture hatched from the egg in the nest on the cliff of the Kvarner Sea island of Plavnik. With your help, we want to give it a name. Thanks to the surveillance camera and the dedication of volunteers, we monitor its development daily until the moment it is ready for its first flight and the beginning of independent life.

While the caring parents, Dagmar and Inge, tirelessly care for the well-being of their offspring, we have asked all supporters, as well as VauMijau readers, to help us name the new member of this iconic bird species associated with the Kvarner Islands, where, thanks to human effort, it has managed to survive in Croatia despite numerous threats endangering its existence.

After receiving 124 of your suggestions, our jury found themselves in the challenging situation of choosing only three names for the voting process. We invite you to participate in the name selection with your vote until April 2nd!
