The problem of quail poaching is widespread in Croatia. Illegal electronic tape lures can be found from Prelog to Dubrovnik, from Pula to Vukovar. Quail poaching is present in the whole of the Balkan area. Using electronic tape lures for hunting is illegal in the majority of the world, and the European Federation for Hunting and Conservation strongly condemns the illegal killing of birds.
