Project goals

Develop and test coordinated measures to increase the resilience of raptor populations to climate change within transnational ecological regions.

Contribute to the preservation of biological diversity and species protection by reducing the risk to populations of birds of prey.

Mitigate the negative effects of infectious and parasitic diseases in birds of prey through coordinated protective measures.

  • Background and problem to be addressed:
  • Project approach and solution:
    • The project is based on the development of a common methodology and action plans within transnational ecological regions. The approach includes an analysis of the current situation, mapping of stakeholders, conducting workshops, developing communication campaigns and drafting local and joint action plans. Through stakeholder participation and knowledge exchange, the project strengthens the resilience of raptors and ensures their long-term protection.
  • Project area:
    • The project covers the Danube Region, with a focus on ecological corridors within several partner countries. Partners from all countries in the region are involved, jointly developing and implementing activities at national and cross-border levels.
