Education of the target group, high school-aThe “Grow Up Green” project aims to educate the target group of high school students on topics related to nature protection and biodiversity conservation, to encourage active thinking and engagement, and to introduce them to the natural values of the newly established Dinara Nature Park. As part of the project, three workshops were held for students of Dinko Šimunović General High School in Sinj: Education on locally present plant species and guidance on creating a digital herbarium Education on making beeswax wraps and reducing the use of single-use plastics A hands-on workshop on making insect hotels In addition, numerous educational activities were organized for the general public.

The first public event took place as part of the Gljevstok music-ecology festival, organized by the association of the same name. The theme of the 2023 festival was Dinara Nature Park. During the festival, Biom Association held an educational session on biodiversity and the importance of insects and wild pollinators.

Biom also participated in the program of the Kašetarnica art-ecology pavilion, which was held in Sinj. As part of the festival, Biom organized two workshops for young children and the general public. For children and youth, a bird nest-making workshop was designed, during which participants learned about different types of nests and the ecology of the species that build them through hands-on activities. During the festival, the general public was introduced to the brochure “How Can I Help Urban Biodiversity”, through an educational walk across public urban spaces. Participants had the opportunity to learn about local plant species and discuss the importance of sustainable management of public areas. Brochures were also distributed with recommendations on which plant species are best suited for the Dinara area—particularly those that benefit the ecosystem by serving as a food source for wild pollinators.
