Bird watching for citizens of Split

  • 04.05.2017.

On the occasion of World Migratory Bird Day, Association BIOM will hold free bird watching for citizens of Split.

Bird watching will take place on May 13, 2017 (Saturday) as part of the Project Ptice oko nas, implemented by BIOM since 2015 and co-funded by the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund. The project is primarily designed to involve the general public in research and bird-related activities.

Therefore, as part of this activity, the employees of the Sinj regional office of the Association BIOM will introduce the technique and importance of bird watching in nature protection to the citizens and get them acquainted with the interesting ornitofaun of the Marjan Forest Park. Citizens of all ages are welcome and it would be great if all that are interested bring their own binoculars with them (if they have them), which are the key equipment for this activity. The observation will take place in the morning (8:30 to 11 am), and the gathering with all interested citizens will be around 8:15 am at the Marjan Gate.
