In period between 8th and 12th September 2011 Štip, Macedonia was home to approximately 20 ornithologists from former Yugoslav republics. Representatives of 7 NGOs from five countries were accompanied by Hazell Thompson (BirdLife), Martin Schneider-Jacoby (Euronatur) and project coordinator Borut Rubinič (BirdLife).

One of the project’s aims was to build capacities for BirdLife partnership and to find BirdLife partners among national NGO’s for countries which participated in Wings Across the Balkans project.

This workshop was devoted to discussion on project follow up. One of the possibilities is Adriatic flyway conservation in cooperation with EuroNatur and MAVA foundation.
