BIOM gave comments on Environmental Impact Assessment for planned wind farm Udbina. Planned windfarm includes dozens of windturbines surrounding Krabava field, one of Croatian exquisite carstic field near Plitvice lakes. As usual in Croatia, EIA is dealing more with passerines instead of soaring birds and shown data are misleading and, in some case, false. Also, BIOM noticed that EIA evaluations boards are usually in clear conflict of interests due to involvement of same people in EIA carrying procedure and EIA evaluation.
