Lecture “Adriatic Octopodes”

There are 11 species of Octopodes living or occasionally present in the Adriatic. Most of them don`t have any commercial importance. This lecture will be more focused on 3 species that are being commercially fished: Octopus vulgaris, Eledone moschata and Eledone cirrhosa. Ante Kodžoman, intern in BIOM`s office in Sinj will give us an introduction to different fishing techniques used for catching these species and will compare fishing trends in Croatia and in the rest of the world.

The lecture will take place on Thursday, 30th June 2016, at Biology Department of Faculty of Science, Rooseveltov trg 6, at 6 PM.
