As part of Earth Day, at March 22th 2017, the volunteer ecological action  “Let’s do it: World Cleanup” was also carried out in Sinj!! It was the second one organised by Association BIOM and this year  it was held in the areas of Kamičak and Old Town. On those sites are located fortresses that have important cultural and historical meaning for the local population and the ever increasing number of tourists visiting them. The action lasted from 9 am to noon and members of the Sinj mushroom collector society “Sunčanica”, employees of the Sinj Tourist Board and the Museum of Cetina region participated in addition to the members of the Association BIOM.

The action was organized and implemented with the support of the administration of Sinj, “Cleanness of Cetina region d.o.o.” provided us with a waste disposal truck and the local portal Ferata.hr helped us to promote the action and to invite citizens to participate.

A total of about 1.5 m3 of garbage was collected, most of it was plastic, glass, paper and other municipal waste.
